Lomas Altas Residence

Lomas Altas Residence was awarded First Prize in the design competition on 18 October 2026.

Lomas Altas is a contemporary family home in Guadalajara, shaped around warmth, light and the connection between shared spaces. The proposal develops the interior and exterior character of an existing house, working with its room arrangement, openings and principal circulation core.

Walnut cabinetry, softly veined stone, warm white walls and textured upholstery establish a consistent material language. The kitchen island anchors daily activity, while the dining room, family bar and double-height living space connect with the rear garden. Concealed ceiling lighting, focused downlights and carefully placed pendants give each setting a distinct evening atmosphere.

Private rooms continue the palette through tailored wardrobes, upholstered furnishings and integrated storage. Stone surfaces and floating vanities bring a quieter character to the bathrooms. A family cinema, garden spa and roof terrace provide additional places to gather and relax.

The selected drawings explore the project from furnished plans and interior elevations to sections, custom joinery and lighting details. They show how materials, furniture and architectural elements are brought together throughout the home.

Design visualizations and selected annotated drawings. Sections and joinery are shown at design-development stage.
