Roxbury Residence

Room for the garden. Roxbury Residence brings family life, independent living and outdoor space together within a modern farmhouse composition in Los Gatos, California. The second-phase proposal develops a sequence of connected rooms, an open entrance court and generous views toward the garden.

A continuous timber-lined vault connects the kitchen, dining area and great room. Full-height rear glazing opens this shared space to a dining terrace and garden lounge. The raised front living room offers a quieter retreat, while the adjoining in-law suite has its own living area, kitchenette, bedroom and patio.

Upstairs, the owner suite, family bedrooms and guest suite are connected through a bridge and a short change in level. Warm timber, pale stone, white wall finishes and dark window frames carry the same material language through the rooms and exterior.

The gallery brings together exterior and interior visualizations, furnished plans, four elevations, four cross-sections and 55 detail sheets. Wall and roof assemblies, room axonometrics, joinery, planting, paving and thresholds explore the proposal from the whole building to the spaces used every day.

Architectural visualizations and design-development drawings. Proposed assemblies and landscape levels require technical coordination before construction.
